Italy is known for its luscious red wines, from Tuscany’s bold Chianti’s to the smooth fruit-forward Brunellos of Montalcino. Italy is also known for its stunning handcrafted leather accessories. There is simply no match to the impeccable craftsmanship and rich heritage of an Italian made handbag. Inspired by Italy’s rich legacy of wine and craftsmanship, we sought out a second generation, family-owned workshop in the heart of the Marche region. From their workshop in Macerata, they create handbags of such elegance and quality, they are in high demand all over the world. We picked two gorgeous handbags, each possessing an elegant design and substantial structure that is truly celebrated in exquisite Specchio leather. The cremé de la cremé of Italian leather, Specchio, which translates to “mirror” or “looking glass” is decadent and smooth with an almost mirror-like finish that reflects light from every angle.
